Aim
In the next decades, our energy system will have to change from fossil to renewable sources. In this vision, hydrogen will play an important role as “clean fuel”. The programme’s aim is to develop the knowledge and technology concepts to enable this transition.

Theme
The programme is divided in seven research themes, covering both technological and non-technological issues. The first concern the production, separation, storage, transport and conversion of hydrogen. The non-technological issues cover the societal, social, psychological, economic and governance aspects of the introduction of hydrogen into our energy systems.

€ 18.2 million

Dutch industrial partners, the Ministry of Economic Affairs (EZ); the Ministry of Housing, Spatial Planning and the Environment (VROM) and (departments of) the Dutch Research Council NWO (AB, CW, FOM and WOTRO).
